First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a senior! The last year of high school is a pivotal year. It feels like the end and the beginning all at once. Do you feel it? As you get ready to leave behind a part of your youth and venture wherever life takes you after high school. It is one stage in your life that is well represented by having Professional Images taken. Senior portraits document this significant time in your life.

I understand having your picture taken by a stranger can be uncomfortable and that not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera. That is why I make the time to get to know you as part of my job and build a relationship. I will help capture the look you want, and make the process fun and stress-free for you and your parents. The images we create together will not only make you look and feel amazing, but you also love sharing them with friends and family. From start to finish I will help with clothing, locations, posing and any touch-up, as needed.

If you are feeling a little overwhelmed but excited to see your senior ready to take the next step in their life, I want your to know I understand your emotions. For them, their new life is almost ready to begin, and for the parents, well, it’s a litter more bittersweet.
Senior portraits are for them, but they are also for you.
I believe this is a very important time in both of your lives. Soon the family dynamics will be new and you want to capture them as who they are in the present. Senior portraits taken by a professional are a great way to preserve those memories for both of you to cherish not only now, but years from now. It is vital that you have a fun and amazing experience and work with someone that can take the stress away.
My goal is to provide you and your senior with natural, beautiful portraiture that captures their personalities and makes them feel confident, bold and beautiful. I hope that when you look at their images you see the same mischievous grin they had when they were younger and a glimpse of the amazing adult they are destined to be.
Capturing portraits you both want starts with a plan, and I have a step-by-step plan that will lead you right through the process so you can leave the stress over what your need to do to prepare for senior portraits off your list and get on to other things that matter.
I offer a 15 minute virtual consultation where we can meet and you can ask me any questions you may have. It is a great way to start the process.

6 Proven Steps to a successful Senior Portrait Experience with Alisa Ham Photography.
Step 1
Schedule
Congratulations! I am excited to work with you and look forward to guiding you through my step-by-step process!
Be sure to select both the season and date that work best for you. Summer and Fall seem to be the most popular.
Now it is time to start the planning process and schedule professional hair and makeup if that applies.
Step 2
Plan
Every AHP Senior Session is unique to you. That is why I take the time to plan your session with you at our planning consultation where you bring all your outfits and ideas and we put it all together. We will select your wardrobe and locations together and be sure to include any items that are important to you. This is the easiest way to avoid wasted time on the big day. When we are done, you leave feeling confident in knowing all the details of your session are planned and ready for you to prepare.
Step 3
Preparing
It’s really starting to get more exciting. Several days prior to your portrait session, I’ll send you a list of wardrobe preparation and other tips to help you arrive feeling 100% prepared for an incredible photo session.
Experience has taught me that 3 or 4 outfit changes are the most manageable and would depend on the package you choose.
Step 4
Create
The day is finally here! Now I am really excited! Your photo session will be spent just as we planned with a little spontaneity. You can expect to laugh and get enough direction to help you fell relaxed and confident. You can bring a friend along to share the experience. Most shoots last 3 - 4 hours ending in the golden hour of early evening. That can be such flattering light!
Step 5
Reveal
This may be the best part of the process??? We get to go over all your usable images together and YOU can select your favorite images for me to edit. It’s so much fun!
Step 6
Ordering
Every AHP Senior Session includes a Final Image Premier and Product Design session about a week or two after the reveal. You’ll see gorgeous PRINTED proofs at your ordering session and see samples from my line of products. The fusion album is one of my most popular items!
And the best part…..you can take your digital images with you that day so you don’t have to wait around!

It’s common to feel like you aren’t good at having your picture taken or would never look like the pictures posted here. 99% of my clientele had the same feelings before their session as well. The planning process and getting to know me before your session day really helps. You just need to do you.

There are 3 experiences for you to choose from starting at $250. Keeping the process simple for all of us has proven to work the best in my 7 years of working with seniors. YOU will receive an amazing experience customized to your style and vision and fall in love with the results!
Product Collections start at $600 up to $2400.

FAQs
When do I need to B00K my session?
Many clients start inquiring in February and March and bookings on my calendar start filling up in April and May. I suggest booking early so you can select not only the season your prefer, but the date as well. I only shoot 40 seniors a year so my schedule fills up quickly in the Spring.
What if the WEATHER prediction is rain or there is a heat index warning on the day of my session?
If such an event would occur, I will be the one making the call within 24 hours prior to the session date and we will reschedule that same week. {If having hair and makeup may be a bit longer}
Cancellations?
The deposit is non-refundable, but you are not bound in any other way,
Can a family or friend come?
YES! YES! YES! Especially if they make you happy.
How many outfits can I wear?
As many as time permits, however 3-4 seems to be the manageable number.
Can I choose the location of my Session?
Tricky one. I have a list of locations where I know the lighting. If you have a favorite place and we can make it work in the schedule, I’m all about that! This is all about you.
Can I bring pets?
Absolutely. There is a Session Add On for that and it could be at the beginning or end of your session. If you have a large animal, like a horse, we can plan for that also.
Can I post the pictures on social media?
At the ordering appointment you can take any purchased digital images with you and post all you like!
Do I have to place my order at the ordering appointment?
Yes! How exciting is that? You can have your session and get all your products two to three weeks later to display and share with your family and friends.
Remember, you have already seen them at the Image Selection Appointment. Now all you have to do is select your favorites to order.
Do you offer sessions on weekends?
Once Senior year starts, life gets really busy. If you were not able to get your portraits taken in the summer I do offer a few weekend options, however there is an additional fee of $250.
